'Welcome to the world Freddie!' Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe celebrate new arrival at Floors Castle

He was once dubbed the most eligible bachelor in Britain.

But the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe have just announced the arrival of a new baby boy!

Frederick Charles Ian Innes Ker, Marquis of Bowmont was born last month.

And last night (Thursday), a bonfire beacon was lit in front of Floors Castle in Kelso to celebrate.

The special event was attended by the Roxburghe Estates team, tenants, and friends.

Charlie Innes-Ker, the Duke of Roxburghe, married his girlfriend Annabel Green at the duke's family seat in September 2021.

He was previously an army Captain in the Blues and Royals, completing tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, with Prince Harry serving under him.

Photographs of last night's celebrations have been shared by the Castle.

A statement accompanying the images beamed: "The Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe are delighted to announce the birth of their son Frederick Charles Ian Innes Ker, Marquis of Bowmont on the 28th of February.

"Last night we came together to celebrate his arrival with a bonfire beacon in front of Floors Castle, attended by the Roxburghe Estates team, tenants, and friends.

"Baby Freddie was the perfect guest of honour, and enjoyed meeting many new faces. Welcome to the world Freddie!"
