The organisers of a new two-day music festival in the Borders say the response from the public so far has been "absolutely phenomenal".

Billy Ocean and Wet Wet Wet will headline the first-ever Edge Fest, at Lilliardsedge Holiday Park, near Jedburgh, over the first weekend in September.

The attraction has announced all its touring pitches and lodge accommodations for the event are now sold out.

But tickets for the music festival are still available, with shuttle buses running from all over the Borders.

Earlier this week, the park's commercial director Stuart Macdonald told us: "We're just really excited to be bringing a major event to the area.

"People in the Borders have always had to travel outwith the region to attend festivals and major concerts, and there's not really any reason why it can't be on everybody's doorstep."

The X Factor's Ella Henderson, M People's Heather Small and Salamander Street singer Callum Beattie are also included in the star-studded line-up at Edge Fest this summer, along with Sophie Ellis-Bextor - famed for her Kitchen Discos during lockdown - and Brit Award winner Gabrielle.

Beattie left many fans disappointed when his August 5th gig at the MacArts Centre in Galashiels sold out in SECONDS.

But he revealed he's looking forward to entertaining more fans on his return to the Borders the following month.

"It’s a belter," he announced on social media. "I can’t wait to perform at Edge Fest on September 2nd this year."
