'Aachoo' - Banksy confirms he IS behind new Bristol mural

The street art appeared at one of the city's iconic streets overnight

Banksy has laid claim to a new mural in Bristol.

The street artist, whose identity has never been revealed, shared the work online this afternoon (10/12).

It shows an elderly woman sneezing out her teeth on the side of a Totterdown house - he captioned the painting "aachoo".

The subject, wearing a head scarf, is seen dropping her walking stick:

Since the piece was first spotted this morning, Twitter hosted hours of speculation around who was responsible.

Graffiti with substance

Banksy started his street-art career in Bristol during the 1990s.

Over the past 20 years, the elusive sculptor has worked far beyond his home city - leaving his stamp on countries worldwide.

Known for radiating political messaging through his pieces, Banksy's most recent work shows a girl hula-hooping with a tyre - near a real bike missing its back wheel.
