Avon and Somerset Police have launched a CCTV appeal following an incident which happened back in 2022 in Bristol.

Officers from the force investigating a robbery in Bristol are hoping the release of the footage of a man walking a dog will help their enquiries progress, as they are looking to identify him.

He is pictured walking a dog and is wanted as part of enquiries into the incident which happened on Cheltenham Road back on the 28th of October.

The force says an altercation is reported to have occurred close to the arches between two men during the early hours of Friday 28 October.

Both men proceeded to walk along Cheltenham Road in the direction of the city centre, when one of them assaulted the other at about 12.50am close to the Winsley Road junction.

The offender knocked the victim to the ground, before - it's reported - he was then kicked on the floor, before the offender then made off with his mobile phone.

He’s described as white, in his 40s, about 5ft 10ins, of large build, with short dark hair and a goatee.

The victim, who is in his 60s, was knocked unconscious in the assault.

He sustained injuries to his face and required treatment at hospital. He also experienced issues with his vision for a number of weeks.

If you have information, the police ask you to call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5222259257, or use their online appeals form.
