Police are investigating the cause of a fatal car crash on the A46 near Bath.

Two pickup trucks collided on the A46 at Dyrham between 8:30pm and 8:45pm last night (06/12).

One of the trucks came off the road and the driver - a man in his 50's - was declared dead at the scene. The other driver suffered leg and arm injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening. They have been taken to Southmead Hospital.

The road was closed all night for investigation work but it has since reopened.

"We’d also like to appeal for anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time the collision occurred."
