Teenager killed in Bristol motorbike crash

A teenage motorcyclist has died in a crash on a major road in Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police say the 18-year-old man was involved in a crash with a car on the A4 Bath Road in Brislington near the Hicks Gate roundabout on Thursday (22 June) at around 3:45pm.

We're told despite the best efforts of officers and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Inspector Tom Fitzpatrick said: "I would like to express my deepest sympathies for the young man's family during such a tragic time.

"Our specially-trained family liaison officer will be offering the family support over the coming weeks."

Avon and Somerset Police are now investigating the crash and are asking anyone who witnessed it, or who saw either a Yamaha motorbike or Vauxhall Crossland in the area around the time of the collision, to get in touch.
