Police officer "lassoed" runaway horse in Ely
The horse was spotted in Ely on Saturday morning
Police in Cambridgeshire are sharing a "hoof-stopping moment" from the weekend, when a horse went on the run.
The horse was spotted on Prickwillow Road in Ely on Saturday morning.
One officer managed to lasso the runaway horse using a rope.
A police spokesperson said: "One officer demonstrated his quick thinking and roping skills over the weekend when he lassoed a runaway horse that had been reported galloping across Prickwillow Road."
"Kudos to the officer for going above and beyond the mane call of duty to ensure the safety of road users and of course the horse itself!"
