Cash for Kids are supporting children across the Yorkshire Coast

Find out what we do, how you can apply and how to get involved

Greatest Hits Radio Yorkshire Coast are proud to introduce our charity, Cash for Kids.

The charity supported over 396,000 disadvantaged children across the UK in 2020, including some in our area, and they're now accepting applications for funding across the Yorkshire Coast.

If you have, or work with, a child that needs support you could be eligible.

Our grants support children from birth up to and including 18 years of age who are vulnerable, come from disadvantaged backgrounds or are living with an illness or disability. We also provide a lifeline to many other charities, organisations and community groups, funding much-needed services and life-changing equipment.

Who We've Helped

Here's just a few of the children Cash for Kids has already helped.

Individual Child

The child (name removed for privacy) is 2 years old, non-verbal and has autism. This means that she has no understanding of her surroundings and has no sense of danger.

She used to sleep in a cot, which was a dangerous environment as she would headbutt the sides and the walls. It wasn’t safe for her.

Cash for Kids were able to fund a suitable specialist bed for her, enabling her to sleep safely and secure throughout the night without fear of harm.

Winter Essentials Project

The winter months can be a struggle for many families living in poverty, who are unable to provide their children with suitable clothing to keep them warm.

Cash for Kids funded winter coats, hats and scarves for 25 children living in a severely deprived area of Hull. This project was organised by Cash for Kids and delivered through a local school to make sure that we were able to support the children most in need.
