PopMaster on Greatest Hits Radio

RULES

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Bauer Media ("Greatest Hits Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at greatesthitsradio.co.uk/general-terms-conditions) apply to the ‘PopMaster’ radio competition ("the Competition") which runs weekdays at 10:30 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Greatest Hits Radio.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

Details of the Competition

1.1 To enter the Competition an Entrant must email their name, contract details including phone number and top three pop passions to popmaster@greatesthitsradio.co.uk - registering their interest.

1.2 Entrants will be selected based on their initial e-mail, based on suitability for the competition. They will then be invited to a pre-broadcast interview with a Station Producer in which they will be asked to answer test questions and assessed on their suitability for broadcast on live radio.

1.3 Successful contestants will then be booked to appear in a future programme, in which they participate in the competition via telephone.

1.4 The contestant will have to answer ten questions, alongside another player. The contestant with the most number of points scored will be the finalist and go through to the final 3-in-10 round – the runner-up will receive the runner-up prize.

1.5 The finalist will then have to correctly name three Top 75 UK Chart Hits from a given artist within 10 seconds to win the top prize.

1.6 We reserve the right to cancel or change the competition at any stage. The competition may not run on those weekdays which are classed as holidays.

1.7 Contestants must answer the questions without help, prompts or external influence. We reserve the right to disqualify any contestant suspected of breaching the competition terms

Eligibility

2.1 - Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over. Bauer employees, their close relatives and anyone connected with the competition is not eligible to take part.

2.2 Contestants who compete in a competition round are not permitted to play again for 12 months. Winning contestants are not permitted to play again for 36 months.

2.3 If later discovered that any winner does not meet the eligibility criteria as laid out above and as stated in the General Terms & Conditions, the Radio Station reserves the right to withdraw the Prize without question. No correspondence shall be entered into. All decisions are final.

Prize

3.1 The prizes are as follows:

The top prize for winning 3in10: 1 x Smart Speaker and a 12-month subscription to Greatest Hits Radio Premium.

If the finalist does not successfully complete 3in10 they will win a PopMaster boardgame.

The runner-up will receive a PopMaster t-shirt.

3.2 Bauer reserves the right to substitute prize 

4.1 DATA PROTECTION.

Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry.
