Underground Cornish caverns go up for sale for over £1million

The visitor attraction welcomes around 25,000 people each year

A massive underground visitor attraction in Cornwall has gone up for sale.

The Carnglaze Caverns near Liskeard are part of a 10 acre property used for weddings and events.

It attracts around 25,000 visitors a year and is now on the market for offers over £1 million.

The business has been in the same hands for the last 20 years and has been substantially developed over the years.

The caverns are formed from an historic former slate mine set within the Loveny Valley.

Carnglaze features three large manmade slate caverns and a subterranean lake as the visitor attraction.

The site includes a four-bedroom house, along with an extra eight acres of land. That includes parking for up to 60 cars, site facilities including gift shop, ticket office, toilets, gardens and picnic areas and storage sheds.

There is also another further two acres of woodland.

The attraction is currently being listed by Stags at offers over £1,000,000.
