One person taken to hospital as four-vehicle crash closes A30 at Hayle

A person has been taken to hospital after four vehicles were involved in a crash on the A30 at Hayle.

Police were called to the scene just after 11.30am and emergency services remain at the scene.

One person has suffered serious injuries and is at Treliske Hospital.

All lanes have been re-opened - Queuing traffic and delays are still expected.

"Police were called at around 11.35am today to the A30 at Hayle following reports of a four vehicle collision.

"One person has been taken to Treliske hospital with serious injuries. There are no further reports of injuries at this time.

"Emergency services remain at the scene and the incident is ongoing.

"The road is currently closed in both directions."

Devon and Cornwall Police

"All traffic being temporarily held due to serious accident and accident on A30 Hayle Bypass in both directions from B3301 Carwin Rise (Loggans Moor roundabout, Hayle) to A3074 Nut Lane (St Erth roundabout, Lelant).

"Traffic has been held in both directions, after an accident involving a vehicle crossing the central reservation."
