Police appeal to find 14-year-old girl reported missing in south east Cornwall

An urgent appeal has been issued after a 14-year-old girl was reported missing from the Saltash area.

Police say Sophie Smith was last seen at around 7pm on Wednesday 23rd February.

She is described as very slim, approximately 5ft 9' and has long brown/blonde hair.

The youngster was last seen wearing a black 'THE LAKERS' basketball jacket and black trainers.

Officers are urging anyone who has seen Sophie or who has any information on where she might be to call 999.

In an updated statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for the public's help to locate a 14-year-old girl who has been reported missing.

"Officers are concerned for the welfare of Sophie Smith from Saltash.

"She was last seen in the Saltash area at 7pm on Wednesday 23 February.

"She is described as a white female, of very slim build, approximately 5ft 9ins tall with long brown/blonde hair.

"She was last wearing black Nylon ‘THE LAKERS’ basketball jacket and black Nike Airforce shoes.

"Anyone who sees Sophie or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 763 23/2/22".
