A multi-vehicle crash closed a stretch of the A30 near Hayle.

Three cars were involved on the Hayle Bypass heading in the westbound direction on Wednesday lunchtime (8th June).

It is understood that the collision took place after the retail park and heading towards the St Erth roundabout.

Police say three people suffered minor injuries and the road was closed so recovery could take place.

That has now been completed and the road has reopened.

"Ambulance also in attendance.

"Appears minor injuries at this time but we await more details.

"The road was partially blocked but the carriageway has since been closed westbound from Loggans roundabout for the vehicles to be recovered."

It is understood that traffic is now returning to normal in the area.

Inrix Traffic and Travel says: "A30 Hayle Bypass Westbound re-opened, multi-vehicle accident cleared from B3301 Carwin Rise (Loggans Moor roundabout) to A3074 Nut Lane (St Erth roundabout).
