Man dies in multi-vehicle crash in Wolvey

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision involving several cars in Wolvey.

It happened on Smockington Lane around 9.50pm yesterday.

A man in his 30s, who was driving a red Honda Civic, died from his injuries, while a woman in a grey Ford Kuga suffered minor injuries.

Specially trained officers are in contact with the man's family at this time.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Barr, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We're urging any witnesses who may have seen what happened prior to or during the collision and have yet to speak to police to get in touch with us.”
