A man's been arrested as part of an investigation into the supply of drugs in Nuneaton.

Detectives from Warwickshire Police carried out the drugs warrant in the Hill Top area of the town yesterday morning (Monday 4 March), as part of an investigation by Nuneaton Serious Organised and Acquisitive Crime (SOAC) Team.

A 23-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Officers also seized mobile phones from the address.

Another warrant in Croft Pool, Bedworth didn’t result in any arrests.

Detective Sergeant Alan Gardner, from the SOAC team, said: “There is a great deal of work going on across Warwickshire to tackle the supply of drugs and the associated violence, not all of this will be visible to the local community. Our team of plain clothed detectives are out most days looking for drug dealers and gathering intelligence.

“I hope these warrants demonstrate to local people that we are acting on their concerns. We might not be able to provide an immediate response to every report made, but the information you provide forms part of a bigger picture into the supply of drugs.”

If you have information about drug dealing you can report it to police by going to www.warwickshire.police.uk/report or call 101. Information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
