Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire at Lazonby On-Call Fire Station at 12:40 am on Thursday, February 22.

The small fire was contained to one room used as office space and was extinguished by Firefighters on the scene. It is believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault which is being investigated further.

There was nobody in the building at the time of the fire and there was no damage to the fire appliance or equipment housed there.

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service’s business continuity plan has taken immediate effect to ensure there is no impact on the cover the On-Call crew can provide and therefore no impact on the community.
