Man charged with attempted murder after an incident in Cleator Moor

Cumbria Police say the 32-year-old will appear in court next month

A man has been charged with attempted murder and other offences following an incident on William Morris Avenue in Cleator Moor last Saturday (27th January).

The incident involved two men, one of the men was taken to Cumberland Infirmary with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lee Walker, 32, was charged with attempted murder, assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, two counts of possessing a knife in a public place and assaulting an emergency worker.

He appeared at North and West Cumbria magistrates court today (Jan 29) and was remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on 26 February.
