The mother of Caitlin Huddleston, who was killed in a horror crash in Cumbria, has been speaking to Road Safety Minister Baroness Vere about the campaign in her daughter's name.

18-year-old Caitlin died in July 2017 after the driver of a car she was travelling in lost control on a bend.

The Coroner at the inquest said inexperience behind the wheel was a factor in the collision and called for the Government to consider bringing in a Graduated Driving Licence, which would give young people more experience behind the wheel.

Baroness Vere, who oversees matters of Road Safety on behalf of the Government, agreed to meet Caitlin's mum via video call to hear more about the campaign.

Caitlin's Campaign is now working with scientists, police, road safety charities and experts to call on the Government to introduce GLD.

Baroness Vere outlined the research that is being done, and how the government is looking to gather evidence to determine its policy.
