Two arrested after 'video of violence' in Workington emerges
Cumbria Police say they 'will not tolerate drunken disorder'
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a video emerged of 'violence' in Workington town centre.
The incident is believed to have happened yesterday.
The pair were also arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
Police patrols were stepped up in Workington town centre last night following the incident.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said in a social media statement yesterday: "In relation to a video of violence in Workington Town centre today. Two arrests have been made for assaults and drug possession offences.
"We will not tolerate drunken disorder this festive period. Proactive team are on foot patrol in the town tonight."
