Witnesses are being urged to come forward following a fatal collision.

Emergency services attended the A6011, near Gamston Lock, following a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 24-year-old man, suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident, which happened around 6.15pm on Wednesday (17 January).

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.

Investigator Louise Melbourne, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends during what must be an incredibly difficult time for them.

“While we are not treating the man’s death as suspicious, we are still working to understand the full circumstances of what happened.

“To this end, we would like to hear from any additional witnesses who have not already made themselves known to the police and specifically anyone who may have been driving along the road around the time and may have any dashcam footage of the pedestrian prior to the collision taking place.
