Woman dies after serious crash in Buxton
The road has remained closed for longer due to bad weather
A woman has died following a serious collision near Buxton in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 8th Feb).
Emergency services called just after 6am to reports of a crash involving a car and a lorry at Brierlow Bar.
The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and worsening weather conditions have meant that the road has remained closed.
An investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances of the collision.
