Chesterfield woman jailed after stabbing woman in neck

A woman has been jailed for four years after stabbing another woman in the neck in Chesterfield.

Nicole Ryder, 28, was arrested last June following an argument which ended in her stabbing the victim twice.

The woman was not seriously injured, but claimed she had been left with reoccurring nightmares following the incident.

Ryder pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding with intent and was sentenced to four years in prison with two years extended licence at Derby Crown Court on Friday 1 March.
