A huge fire has broken out at Tiverton Business Park, with all three emergency services on the scene.

In a statement the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service says 12 fire engines were on the scene on Lowman Way on Sunday evening (2nd January), plus special equipment including an aerial ladder platform and high volume pump.

Initial 999 calls stated the fire was impacting four industrial units and was spreading rapidly: The Fire Service has confirmed the blaze is affecting several businesses used for carpet and flooring, piano and building supplies.

A 150 metre cordon was put in place but photos shared online show a large crowd of people gathered to watch.

There are currently no reports of any injuries.

On Monday morning (3rd January) crews confirmed that they are still tackling the Tiverton fire using water jets and an aerial ladder platform.

They are monitoring the building for potential collapse and working with Wales and West Utilities to cap gas leaks.
