Torquay United vs Chippenham Town game called off
It's after a pitch inspection this morning (Saturday 17 December)
In a statement, Torquay United have said that following a pitch inspection this morning (Saturday 17 December), today’s game has been postponed.
They were due to go against Chippenham Town in their FA Trophy tie.
They say there has been sterling work from their ground staff, and the Club did everything to ensure the match went ahead as planned.
But due to the freezing temperatures overnight, they say the safety of both sets of players, supporters and officials remain Torquay United AFC’s priority.
The club say a new date for this fixture will be confirmed in due course.
