Man knocked to the ground in Sturminster Newton assault

It happened in the Railway Gardens

Police are investigating an assault on a man in Sturminster Newton.

The victim was either punched or pushed to the ground after a verbal exchange with a man in Railway Gardens at around 10.25pm on Friday 10th May.

He wasn't seriously injured.

PC Ed Lewis, of the Sturminster Newton Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I understand there were a number of people in the area around the time the assault was reported.

“I would urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please contact us.”
