Woman punched in face after asking man to stop urinating in Bournemouth street

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to identify

A woman has been hit in the face after asking a man to stop urinating in the street in Bournemouth.

The incident happened at around 1.30am on Monday 1 April, outside Sixty Million Postcards in Exeter Road.

It is reported that the victim – a local woman aged in her 20s – challenged a man who was urinating against a wall and asked him to stop.

The man subsequently punched the victim in the face causing her to fall backwards. She sustained significant bruising to her eye.

Police Constable Olivia Trew, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am continuing to investigate this incident and have obtained CCTV images of a man I would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.”
