We live in a beautiful place

Published 21st Sep 2020

It's easy to forget how lucky we are to live in and around Dorset. We've tried to narrow it down to our favourite beauty spots.

Check out all this beauty on our doorstep!

Dorset's best beauty spots

Sandsfoot Castle

Sandsfoot Castle dates back to the 16th-century and whilst it might be classed as "ruins" it sure is a beautiful spot, especially at night.

Portland Bill Lighthouse

Have you ever climbed the 41 meters and enjoyed the view from the top? Now's your chance!

Abbotsbury Swannery

This beauty spot is all about the wildlife, well, Swans. Abbotsbury Swannery was first set up in the 1000's and is home to 600 swans. We said beauty spots, not quiet spots!

Portland Castle

It's fantastic to be able to enjoy some 500-year history on our doorstep and the view of Weymouth Harbour is unbeatable.

Greenhill Gardens

Blue skies, a cup of tea and award winning gardens. What more do you need?

Weymouth Beach

3 miles of pure golden sand! Bliss.

Nothe Fort

Whilst Nothe Fort is impressive in its own right, it's on our list for the incredible views from the parapet and ramparts.

Weymouth Harbour

Who doesn't love stopping for a coffee or something stronger along Weymouth Harbour? Beautiful.

Chesil Beach

While you won't be needing your bucket & spade for our 18-mile beach, it does offer one of the most unique walks in Britain. For a great view, go to the Tout Quarry Nature Reserve and Sculpture Park.
