Weymouth College says it has 'robust measures' in place to limit the spread of Coronavirus.

13 cases have now been confirmed - in 10 students and 3 members of staff.

Close contacts have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days.

Weymouth College remains open and students who are staying at home are being taught through remote learning.

In a letter to parents, Principal Nigel Evans said:

"We send our best wishes to all families, and hope all are recovering well.

"I am pleased to say again, the students and staff have followed the correct procedures and quickly notified the College and self-isolated during the testing phase."

Face coverings have also now been made mandatory in communal areas.

'Further cases in Dorset schools'

Meanwhile, more schools in Dorset have confirmed new cases of Coronavirus.

Beachcroft St Paul's Primary in Weymouth, Sherborne Primary and Pimperne Primary have all reported cases of Covid-19.

All three schools remain open.
