6 vehicles damaged during spate of vandalism in Weymouth

Two men aged 25 from Weymouth and Dorchester have been arrested

6 vehicles have been damaged during a spate of vandalism in Weymouth.

Dorset Police believe it happened 5.30am and 6am on Sunday (29 May) in Park Street.

Damage was caused to wing mirrors and a window of one of the vehicles was smashed.

Officers attended and two men aged 25, from Weymouth and the Dorchester area, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Matthew Barrett, of Dorset Police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what happened and would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch.

“If you live in the nearby area I would ask you to please check your home CCTV systems for anything of relevance to help my enquiries.”
