Four people, including two children, seriously injured in A30 collision

Four people including two children have been seriously injured after a collision on the A30 near Shaftesbury.

A man has sustained injuries described as ‘life-threatening’ by Wiltshire Police.

The incident, which happened around 6pm on Friday evening, involved a silver BMW travelling towards Shaftesbury and a black Toyota Verso driving in the opposite direction.

The BMW driver, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Southampton Hospital.

His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the Toyota, a woman in her 40s, and two children in the car with her, were taken to Salisbury District Hospital with serious injuries.

Wiltshire Police are appealing to witnesses of the collision or anyone with dash cam footage. We’re asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 260 of Friday’s date.
