Armed police stop suspicious vehicle on Portland
A suspicious vehicle has been stopped and the occupants searched on Portland by armed officers
Armed police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle seen on Portland.
The vehicle was stopped on the A37 and seized, and the occupants were searched.
A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said:
"The driver had no licence or insurance, following this the motability company in which the car was registered too, has recovered the car and the individual will no longer receive a car again.
"Thank you to the member of public for calling this suspicious vehicle in. If you see something suspicious you can report this by calling 101."
