Body found in search for missing Portland man
Dorset Police have given us an update
Police searching for a missing man from Portland have found a body.
A report was put to the Dorset force on Thursday 4th August raising concern for the welfare of 53 year Peter Spurgin.
He'd last been seen at his home on Saturday 30th July.
We've now been told that a body was found in an area of woodland off Grove Road on the evening of Sunday 7th August.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of Peter Spurgin have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, and the coroner for Dorset has been notified.
