Bomb squad called to Weymouth Harbour as unknown object found

An unknown object found in Weymouth Harbour has caused road closures both ways on Roadwell Road.

There are reports of traffic building up between B3155 (Westham Junction) to North Quay (Harbour Crossroads)

Dorset Police were called to the area at midday after the object was found in the water by a member of public on a boat in the harbour.

A 100-metre cordon has been put in place around the boat for the safety of members of the public.

The EOD has been notified and will be attending the location.
