Police are investigating an attempted robbery on Kinson Road

A shop worker's been attacked with a glass bottle, during an attempted robbery at a garage in Bournemouth.

It happened at the Esso on Kinson Road, just after 2.00pm on Saturday 20th April.

The offender hit the victim over the head with a bottle and demanded money from the till, and threw a second bottle at the staff member, before leaving.

The man needed hospital treatment for a head injury.

The details have just been released along with a CCTV image of a man police want to identify.

Detective Constable Emily Lovejoy, of Dorset Police, said:

“We have been carrying out enquiries into this robbery and I am now in a position to release images of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anybody who recognises this individual, or who has any information relating to his identity, to please contact us.”
