Brick thrown through window of Weldmar Hospicecare charity shop
Dorset Police have described the incident as 'mindless vandalism'
A Weldmar Hospicecare charity shop has been targeted by vandals.
A brick was thrown through the window of the shop in Gillingham.
Dorset Police say between around 5pm on Saturday 23 July and 9am on Sunday 24 July a window at the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust shop in the High Street was damaged.
Damage was also caused to items inside the store as a result of the brick being thrown through the window.
Police appeal
Police Constable Geraint Craig, of the Gillingham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This mindless vandalism has resulted in damage and significant inconvenience being caused to a store that raises funds for a much-loved local charity.
“We are carrying out enquiries to identify who is responsible and I would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation.
“Finally, I would urge any local businesses or residents with CCTV, or motorists with dashcam who were in the area on the night in question, to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
