Police have carried out drugs raids on two town centre addresses in Bridport.

Officers swooped last Thursday morning (14th March) at around 10.00am.

A quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs, along with cash and digital devices, were seized.

A 34-year-old local woman's been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug - she's since been released under investigation.

Two other people - a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s, and both from Bridport - were arrested at the scene and later de-arrested with further enquiries take place.

Sergeant Mike Brown, of Bridport police, said:

"There is no place in Dorset for suspected drugs and we are absolutely committed to disrupting the activity of those who are suspected of dealing drugs in our communities.

“We know the impact drug-related activity has on an area and we will continue to execute warrants to identify those believed to be involved.

“While working together with our partners, we are determined to make our county a hostile place for suspected criminals, while protecting our communities and safeguarding those individuals who need our help the most.

“If you have any information regarding suspected drug-related activity, contact us at www.dorset.police.uk. If a crime is in progress, always dial 999.”
