Burglary at Bere Regis petrol station

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify

A petrol station in Bere Regis has fallen victim to a burglary, with a number of items taken.

Police tell us it happened between 1.40 and 2.00am on Thursday (4th April) at the Shell in North Street.

Two men are thought to have been involved, with the offenders leaving the scene in a black Mercedes, in the direction of Wimborne.

A CCTV image of one man has been released by police, with officers keen to trace him.

PC Josh Hurwood, of Purbeck police, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the petrol station around the relevant time and has information to assist our investigation.

“I am issuing a CCTV image of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”
