Camp Bestival is returning in July 2021.

This year's family festival at Lulworth Castle was called off due the coronavirus pandemic.

But, it's returning in July next year with headline acts including Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Becky Hill and the Friendly Fires.

This year's theme was supposed to be 'Camp Bestival at the Movies' and that theme will be continuing next year.

Camp Bestival Co-Curators, Josie and Rob da Bank said:

"Take two indeed! Take one was looking pretty good through the lens but take two is taking things to a whole new level with some amazing new additions to our cast.

"Step up very special guest Kelis making a huge comeback at the moment, the best maître d’ in the world Fred Sirieix helping us curate our food offerings, add in Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess live, a proper standalone comedy tent, a new clubby space for parents and teens and loads more fresh ideas … and, of course, the fans’ favourite Venagboys are back.

"We want Camp Bestival 2021 to be the best family festival you’ve ever witnessed, so we hope to see you at the Castle!"

They're also bringing back lots of family and comedy acts like Dick and Dom, outrageous live scientists Brianiac Live, and CBeebies legends Mr Tumble, Mister Maker & Rebecca Keatley, Andy & The Odd Socks and Sam & Mark.

Rob added:

"Early on in 2020 we could see what was happening. We're not Public Health experts so we'd follow any guidance that happens in the meantime, but I do feel that by July things should be getting somewhat back to normal.

"I don't think anyone saw this coming across every industry under the sun. It's been hard work, but it's given us the chance to refresh our offering and reboot.

"We're coming back with some great new areas, some great new camping fields and options, a new team tent. Things that people were asking for, and maybe given the rush that you're always in to put on a festival, it gave us a bit of a break to think about those things."

"Thank you to everyone for sticking with us. Our audience has just been incredible rolling over their tickets for the next year."

There's new attractions including a new comedy venue 'the Giggle Box', a cinema area, and a Cirque Bijou High Wire Spectacular.

The event's taking place at Lulworth Castle on the 29th of July to the 1st of August.
