A caravan, thought to have been stolen from Lytchett Matravers, is among three that have been recovered by police.

Three stolen caravans were found on Monday evening (5th September) in the Thames Valley.

It follows reports that two caravans were taken from a caravan park in Lytchett Matravers at around 9.50pm last Thursday evening (1st September).

A number of vehicles, believed to be using false number plates, are thought to have been involved.

The other two caravans recovered are suspected to have been stolen from the Thames Valley and Staffordshire areas.

PC Sebastian Haggett, of the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team, said:

“Following joint working with a number of police forces, officers have been able to locate three stolen high-value caravans.

“Our investigation is continuing and we will be looking into a number of lines of enquiry to try and identify those responsible.
