At least five cars have had their tyres slashed while parked up in a Weymouth car park, with police treating them as criminal damage incidents.

The cases happened between Monday 27th November and Monday 4th December in the communal spaces for a block of flats off Dorchester Road in Lodmoor Hill.

There's now an appeal for further victims, or any witnesses to come forward and speak to officers.

Police Community Support Officer Sonny Scadden, of the Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“Some of these incidents have occurred during the evening but others have also occurred during the day and we are carrying out various enquiries to try and identify who is responsible.

“I would urge anyone who has witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or anyone with information regarding the incidents, to please contact us.”

If you can help with information, you're asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference number 55230189239.

You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
