CCTV images of three suspects are being issued by officers as investigation of an attempted theft of a scooter from an address in Wimborne is underway.

Between 10.45pm and 10.50pm on Friday 27 May 2022, the offenders attempted to steal a red Vespa from a driveway at a property south of the town centre. They made repeated attempts to break the steering lock but were unsuccessful.

Police Community Support Investigator Lindy Wilson, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and have obtained CCTV images of the three suspects.

“I appreciate their faces cannot be clearly seen in the images, but I am hoping the clothing they are wearing and the bag one of them is carrying may assist in jogging people’s memory if they witnessed any suspicious activity in the area that night.

“I would urge anyone with information to please contact us and I would also urge residents and motorists who were in the area to check any CCTV or dashcam footage for anybody matching the descriptions of those pictured.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220085663.
