CCTV images of man released after man found with a serious head injury

An image of a man police would like to speak to has been released.

CCTV images of a man police want to speak to have been released in connection to an incident where a man was found injured on the seafront in Weymouth.

A man aged in his 50s had been found with injuries on The Esplanade, near to Marks and Spencer on October 7th at around 3am.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious head injury.

Following enquiries, it is now believed that the man sustained a head injury following an assault and officers are now releasing a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak you.

Police Constable Josh Manning, of Weymouth police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this incident which is now being treated as an assault and have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify and speak to.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to this man’s identity to please contact us.

“I would also like to speak to any witnesses to the incident who have not already spoken to police.”
