A CCTV image has been released by police in Swanage investigating an assault in the town centre.

It's reported three men were attacked outside the East Bar in the High Street at around 12.35am on Sunday 12th June.

One of the victims suffered a head injury, another sustained a facial injury and the third had bruising to his side.

It's believed the person pictured now could have been a witness to the assault and could hold vital information.

DC Rob Hoskins, of County CID, said:

“Our investigation into this incident remain ongoing and I have identified a man we are really keen to speak to. I would stress this person is being treated as a witness only and I would ask him to please get in touch with us.”

Four local men – aged 28, 30, 43 and 48 – were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm earlier in the investigation.

The 43-year-old was released without charge and the other men have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
