Man in his 90's dies after car hits wall in Cerne Abbas

A local man in his 90's has died following a collision in Cerne Abbas, near Dorchester.

Dorset Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene after they were called at 12.32pm on Thursday March 25 to Long Street in Cerne Abbas, where a brown Honda Jazz hit a wall.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.

Anyone who saw what happened or who has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

"Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died.

"We are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision and I would like to hear from any witnesses who have not spoken with police yet or anyone with relevant dashcam footage."
