Chair thrown through Dorchester shop window

We've been given a detailed description of the offender

A chair's been thrown through the window of a Dorchester supermarket, with Dorset Police treating it as criminal damage.

This happened at the Waitrose in Tudor Arcade at around 8.30pm on Saturday (20th August).

A man threw the chair at the window, and he's described as:

  • White
  • Aged between 25 and 35
  • Slim build
  • Bald head
  • Wearing black trousers
  • No top

After the incident, he left the area with a woman.

PC Chloe Wellington, of Dorchester police, said:

“This mindless act is not acceptable, and we are carrying out enquiries to locate the suspect.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man from the description given, or have information to help identify them.”
