Two people have been treated by paramedics after a chalet fire in Weymouth.

Crews from Dorchester and Weymouth were called out last night.

The fire was in staff accommodation at Seaview Holiday Park in Preston, which was badly damaged by the blaze.

A spokesman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said:

"Two crews attended, from Weymouth and Dorchester, and two breathing apparatus wearers used one main jet and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

"This started in one chalet and broke through the roof. There was smoke damage to an adjacent chalet.

"The fire started accidentally due to an electrical issue."
