Concern for 'prize stag' in Weymouth

It's feared he may be targeted by poachers.

There's concern that poachers in Weymouth may be after a prize stag.

Dorset Police are urging residents around Overcombe to look out for any suspicious activity near the deer.

A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland police said:

"Dorset Police have had concerns brought to our attention from residents of Weymouth that poachers may target a prize stag in the area of Overcome.

"Please be on the lookout and should you see anyone acting suspiciously near the deer or have further information about his matter please contact Police."
