The UK Dog Surfing Championships will be returning to Dorset for its 4th year with promises for an even bigger and more bonkers event than ever before.

The 'barkingly brilliant' Dog Masters will take place at Branksome Dene Chine Beach on the 23rd July and will kick off from 10am with all the usual hilarious hound related surfing through the afternoon.

There will be an introduction this year to the new sunset surf session live music stage through till late with chilled summer beach vibes. Headlining the event is the Bob Marley tribute band The Marley Experience.

Organiser Mark Reeves from Shaka Surf said:

“We got a lot of people asking ‘can we put dogs on the boards?’ So we tried it and it was a bit of a laugh and then we thought of the festival." Other features of the festival include a beach bar, beach volleyball, market stalls and a kids' zone. People under 18 must be accompanied by an adult."

Dog Masters is the UK's only dog surfing championships and has been running since 2018.

This year, the festivals added addition of a beach bar called the Paw Inn offers Caribbean cuisine and vegan hot dogs plus surf, dog & craft traders to boot.

There will be a host of other new features such the Mutts market, Shaka surf street market, the Puppy Pad, Brufts and a puppy pop up booth.

There will also be invitations to specialist vets, behaviourists and canine companions to advise and impart doggie treats of information on how to be the best dog owner.
