A number of flood alerts are currently in place after the heavy rain over the past few days.

A yellow Met Office weather alert remains in effect for Dorset until 10 o'clock this morning.

We're also being told to look out for localised flooding.

The areas where flood alerts have been issued are:

-Christchurch Harbour

-East Somerset Rivers

-River Axe area

-South East Somerset Rivers, Upper Reaches

-South Somerset Rivers, Upper Reaches

-West Dorset Rivers and Streams

The Environment Agency say:

"Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one."
