Four boys arrested after dog and owners attacked in Poole

Four boys have been arrested by Dorset Police, following a assault on two people and their dog in Poole.

It's reported that a man and woman were walking their eight month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy in Bourne Valley Park, near to Evering Avenue, at around 6pm on Sunday 4th September when the attack happened.

A group of teenagers are alleged to have kicked the dog, causing swelling to its eye.

After the dog's owners challenged them, they were also assaulted.

Three boys from Poole - aged 12, 14 and 16 - have been arrested on suspicion of assault, causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and violent disorder.

A 16 year old boy from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of assault and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

All of them have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
